Tlws' name is Welsh. She trained in ceramics and glass and graduated
with a BA (Hons) in 1996. With the help of a Southern Arts Grant
she set up her own workshop where she makes large kiln formed, cast
glass sculptures and fused glass designs.
Tlws' work is organic and colourful and more recently has been based
on ancient stones. The work is original one-off pieces with
a few limited editions. Her studio at Gawcott is open during Bucks
Art week (last two weeks of June)
The Corning Museum of
Glass, New York, annually selects 100 international artists for
this contemporary review. Tlws' work was chosen from 2000 other
artists and is illustrated in
Neues Glas Magazine,
May 1997.
